The Lancaster County Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) Training Summit is an educational and collaborative event designed to enhance preparedness, coordination, and response capabilities among emergency management, public safety, industry, and community partners in Lancaster County. This summit brings together professionals and volunteers from emergency response agencies, local businesses, healthcare facilities, government organizations, and non-profit groups to discuss best practices, share insights, and strengthen interagency relationships.

The training sessions cover a wide range of topics, including hazardous materials handling, emergency response strategies, incident command system (ICS) protocols, public safety technology advancements, and risk communication. Workshops, tabletop exercises, and scenario-based training modules provide hands-on experience and foster skills development. Guest speakers with expertise in emergency management, environmental safety, and crisis communication often present case studies and lessons learned to give participants a practical perspective on managing various emergencies.

The LEPC Training Summit also serves as a platform for networking, allowing attendees to forge connections and discuss collaborative opportunities for improved community resilience. Through this summit, the LEPC aims to ensure that Lancaster County’s emergency response community is well-equipped to handle any potential incidents involving hazardous materials and other critical threats.
