Mental Health First Aid

This training is designed to teach participants how to help an individual who is experiencing a mental health or addictions challenge or is in crisis. Mental Health First Aid is designed for first responders of all experience types.

Participants who complete this training will be certified as Mental Health First Aiders for three years. During this training, participants will:

• Identify the impact of mental health and substance use challenges on individuals
• Recognize common signs and symptoms of mental health or substance use challenges
• Learn how to interact with a person in crisis and connect them with help
• Be introduced to expanded content on trauma, substance use, and self-care
